Happy Birthday, Mrs. Laurel!
Since most of Josh's family was in town for the 4th of July, his sisters and aunts decided to throw his Mom a surprise birthday party! What a fun day!
There was a lot going on:
There were grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles and siblings to hang out with.
 Grilled goods to be eaten.
 Small children to find.
 Moms to surprise.
Fun to be had.
Delicious cake to be eaten.
In order to surprise Mrs. Laurel we all had to team together and lie a lot. Sarah laid the foundation of lies by making faux plans to celebrate with a picnic in a neighboring town. Mr. Mike had to make sure she went to church, so that Sarah and Rachel could set the party goods up and the family could assemble. Mrs. Laurel really wanted to go to the grocery store after church, so Josh and I were assigned the job of getting her to head straight home after the service was over. She really wanted to get those few things on her list, but we broke out the "I'm hungry" "Can't you just go later?" The belly-aching worked and we got her back to their house at just the right time- everyone was there and the food was ready!

Thanks to Sarah for taking some of these pictures!
