Field Trip: Tybee Island Lighthouse

According to the locals, the Tybee Lighthouse is a must-see. I have to agree. The lighthouse itself was pretty cool, but I liked seeing all of the restored buildings on the lighthouse grounds. And they had resident cats. The main house that visitors could walk in, was the lighthouse keeper's home. Some of the keeper's children were still alive when the house renovation began, and they donated a ton of furniture, quilts and toys that were originally in the house. The quilts were beautiful! If you buy a ticket to the lighthouse, you also gain entry to the Tybee Island Museum, which is SUPER creepy. More on that later.
Quilts!
