Secret Recipe: Granny's Apple Pie

1 can of apple pie filling
2 granny smith apples
2 unbaked pie crusts
1/2 cup water
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Peel and slice apples.
3. Start cooking apples down- place apple slices and water in pan and begin to simmer. Add in cinnamon and both sugars after apples begin to soften.
4. When apples are soft, take off of the heat source and mix in the canned apples.
 5. Put one of your unbaked pie crusts into a pie pan and pour the apple mixture in it.
6. Take your other pie crust and cut it into strips. Criss-cross the strips over the top of the apple filling for a nice lattice.
7. After you have your lattice on, pinch the edges (so the bottom pie crust and the latticed crust get mushed together) and then flatten it out with a fork. If you are feeling fancy, you can get a cooking brush and brush milk on the crust to make it turn a nice golden color.
 8. Bake for 15 minutes, or just keep an eye on it until the crust turns golden brown. If the edges turn golden brown before the middle of the pie, cut out a circle of foil and cover the edges.
9. Let it cool for a little bit and enjoy with some Blue Bell!
