Elephant Seal Watching

Ok, these guys and gals were so fun to watch! This beach has different groups of elephant seals visit throughout the year. Luckily we missed the mating adults! The group that we did see was made up of male and female adolescents. You can mostly tell how old they are based on their size and how long their nose is. That is where they get the name "elephant" seal. I could have watched them for hours. they mostly laid around and slept. Occasionally one would run into another one and there would be some gnashing of the teeth. They also sneezed a lot, which prompted much human laughter.
Me as an Elephant Seal.
